Hollie's Farm & Garden — Attraction in Lutz

First time buyer. Owner damaged the plants I purchased and my vehicle before I could leave the premises. He was rude when I mentioned my concern about fitting the plants in my car. I didn't ask for his help, yet he jammed my seat back, deforming and damaging the seat cushion. He then proceeded to stuff the plants into the front passenger side. This scratched my dashboard and dumped mud into the track UNDER the seat. I am still evaluating the damage. He poured dirt under the seat of my car which is not protected by the floor mats. What a mess. I will need to remove the seat, clean the track, and then re-grease it. I had extra towels and moving blankets, but the owner was too busy to care and wouldn't let me protect my vehicle. I never asked for his help, he just went and dumped soil under my seat spouting on about his years of experience. I guess he dumps dirt in everyone's car. I spent several hours on multiple days selecting these plants. No one was able to answer questions regarding their fruit trees. I went to Hollie’s this week after going around to the Lowe’s and Home Depot’s looking for milkweed plants. I called beforehand, and the woman I spoke with said that they had just gotten some in that morning. I went by, and the plants were bigger, fuller, and better looking than the ones I had previously purchased at the bigger stores, and they were cheaper!

I ended up getting some herbs, veggie plants as well, all of which were better and cheaper than what I had seen at Lowe’s.

I went back the next day for more milkweed and soil, and I asked if they happened to have any pineapple plants, and they did! And again, cheaper than at other stores.

We were offered help a number of times during both visits, but not in a pushy way. I had several different questions during the visits, which were all answered by friendly staff. The manager checked me out, and when I saw him the next day, he remembered me. Nice guy.

I have already recommended this place to several people, and I will certainly be back...

I have been a customer of Hollie's for the past four years. I wish I would have found them sooner. I am there most every weekend, as the team at Hollie's has assisted me in building an amazing yard full of blooming flowers. The entire team is great, but Madison has been the primary architect of helping me choose, and also instruct me on the care of nearly one hundred plants and flowers over the past 12-18 months. Our back yard is a color explosion thanks to Madison, and we have a multitude of butterflies of all types because of her instruction. It has been an amazing transformation of a couple of monarchs coming in daily to no less than ten butterflies here at one time all day long. We couldn't have done this without Madison's expertise, and all of the wonderful people there . Hollie's is truly a treasure for those of us out of state transplants that have the ability to listen as to how to treat flora and fauna in the state of Florida.
