Pitt Spring is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. There are three little pavilions with picnic tables, better get there early if you'd like to snag one! There are little charcoal grills, too! The boardwalk is nice. We saw a box turtle the size of a quarter so watch where you step. We spoke with the Ranger, she was a wealth of information and works hard to keep the area clean and welcoming. I though the previous reviews about the restrooms were an exaggeration but, indeed, the composting bathrooms were very riper that others I've experienced. The kids loved the ease of the tube launch and the quick 5 minutes float back to the Pitt Spring landing dock. We did try to hike to Sylvan Spring in our swimwear, however, the heavy rains have resulted in lush undergrowth blocking the trail. All in all, the recreational area gets crowded quickly on the weekends but it's worth the visit...

Pitt spring is a smaller spring, but well worth stopping to visit & take a dip in. Nice clear, cold water. Small parking lot, but luckily it doesn't seem to get too crowded. There are a couple covered picnic tables for lunch if you decide to spend the day. Bathrooms Are enclosed, however basically a glorified porta-potty, as it is a "composting toilet".. 🤢🥴 Cool history & fun facts posted throughout. There's a short hike over to Sylvan Spring, however this is not one recommended or even allowed to swim in..just a photo opp. Another hiking trail leads over to the Wilford Springs, if you decide to walk instead of drive..it isn't a far or complex trail. The drive to each on the gravel road is actually very cool...makes you feel like you're in the mountains, if...

We floated from Williford springs to Pitts springs and it was an hour long float. There are just a couple of debris spots to look out for from hurricane Michael, but they are highly visible and not dangerous, well...maybe to your float, if it's a cheap one. But my sister in law, her husband and their kids, my husband and myself went down the length of the creek and we would definitely do it again!! They have launch points and you can rent kayaks and floats as well if you don't have your own!! The springs are gorgeous and so cold!! Williford has a large cave like spring and Pitts has a small hole in the ground. Pitts has more small fish than Williford as well, I'm guessing because of the difference in the amount of water flow. The creek is still chilly, ...

This place is a hidden gem. I didn’t expect so much but the spring itself is amazing. The water is really clear and emerald blue-ish. I could see fish and turtles swimming in the spring which I enjoyed. When I got there was almost the sunset in March. I wish I could get there earlier on on the day. I saw people having a picnic and others swimming in the spring. The good part of the park, they have well organized parking spaces. You can park your car near the spring, so you don’t need to walk a long distance to see the clear water. If you want to enjoy walking, then you can take some trails to get to other springs, too. In addition, there are restrooms, too.

June 16th. Parked before bridge in a lot of right. No issues. Maybe half a mile walk from the car to water. No "hiking" involved. Multiple entry points to water. Many folks were on tubes and just floating. The water was pretty cold at first but was a nice refresher from the FL heat. I'm 6 ft tall and could stand on all the parts we went to. There was a rope swing. Maybe that area was deeper, I'm not sure. I would suggest a float. The water moved fairly slow. Picnic areas and some covered shelter near the main water entrance. 5/5, we will be going back to explore the other nearby springs soon.
