This is a beautiful stretch of semi-urban coastline with public access and views of Egg Rock, etc. King's Beach is mostly submerged at high tide (but not 100%, on the Swampscott end) though surprisingly wide at low tide. The seawall has numerous access points and offers compelling surf at times. Adjacent Red Rock Park is excellent but has no facilities. The major downfall of King's Beach is the shameful emission of sewage overflow/contamination into the ocean that makes water use a decidedly "at your own risk" venture. Swampscott and Lynn officials have paid lip service to addressing the issue, but it remains. I believe with some environmental cleaning and care that can change.
