Lyon Oaks County Park — Attraction in Lyon Charter Township

I was looking for a playground yesterday and googled one when this place came up. I did not see any pictures but was not picky so when I arrived I made a wrong turn and as I pulled over a flock of wild turkey came out of the woods to cross the road to the other side. It was breath taking! My daughter was so happy to see them all together and free. We pulled into the parking lot for the playground and there was a beautiful volleyball pitch and 4 horse shoe toss across from a very clean large shaded gazebo with picnic tables next to the woods and spotless well stocked baths as well. We stood in amazement looking at the most spectacular designed colorful stimulating CLEAN playground and off we went into our own world of adventure and fun!!! If you have children you must visit this place. They will be too busy having a blast to notice they are getting a good workout mentally and physically. With tons of climbing, balancing, running around, slides, bars, even music making equipment and a special ground that is soft and springy. There are trails, tennis courts and a dog park in some really gorgeous woodland. This has become our favorite place now and I can’t wait to come back! There's a small set of trails in the back of the park area. A couple of loops are available and can be mixed and matched for various lengths. Even though you drive through an industrial zone to get to the park you never feel removed from the nature around you.

There are a few times I could hear some traffic though which... It was what it was. There are benches set up occasionally too. The trails are very well marked. Took my dog with me.

Edit: After the foliage falls there's a few points along the eastern section where you can easily see some warehouses and such. It's only for a few short sections though. Wasn't the best, but...

This park has good soccer fields, dog park, cricket pitch/nets and walk / bike trails . I have been to soccer fields most of the times. I just explored the BIKE 🚴 TRAIL and it is very decent . Good thing about the trails is these are FLAT TRAILS . It has about 3 miles loop. Good to go with little / young kids. Just be aware of mosquitoes 🦟 and go with repellents on your body. Have...
