Hodgkins Park District — Attraction in Lyons Township

If I could give the help of the Director of the facility a negative a thousand In helpfulness and caring I would. I threw my son a party on 10/19/2024 and paid almost 800 dollars to not be notified that I would be sharing a kitchen with another party. That their guest would would through our party a number of times and a dog that wasn’t a service dog, not tags no vest no leashes with notifications?walk threw my party as well. I had guest complaints of the inconvenience of strangers walking threw our private party. Then to make matters worse I ended the party early a hour because the other party thought it appropriate to bathe the dog in the only sink available. We were embarrassed guest chose to leave . We cleaned up the entire room and left. When I spoke to Kelly today letting her know of all the inconveniences all she could tell me was sorry and she would not compensate me for the unused hour even though we paid so much money and only asked for the deposit and hour back not half not anything for the embarrassment and having to have my guest leave. When I asked can I speak to some one else she told me it was only her so her being the only person to speak to and power to help me she chose not to and be cold . I would never ever rent from here again and advise anyone else not to, not because of the area but because of the cost and the absolute refusal to help and just give...

So I found this place on Google after we went to a place that said was open, but was in fact closed at 4pm on Monday afternoon. It's a scorching hot day so with the kids loaded in and the car a pool bag already packed, we drove over to this cute little park and were not dissapointed.

The splash pad is open until 6 pm, although the park itself is open until 8. We were charged $3/each kid even though we were under the assumption it would be a free splash pad.

The private event space was great for a baby shower. The kids play area was very helpful with the young kids of the group. The staff was very helpful with the setting up and cleaning of the event space. I would return and have another baby shower or similar event at this location. The parking was more then ample for our large sized group. When it's open I recommend checking out the sprinkler pad and the big playground on the east side...
