The view and the park view was amazing, which is why we booked in the first place. However. We got an RV site because we just purchased an old RV fixer upper because we like to do that. This old beaut was in a field for awhile with a grieving woman and she let it go to us. I'll admit it's a little unsightly, it's got black mold spots, a little water damage, but for the most part it's great. When we pulled in it was very late, so we decided we'd get to work on the RV early.
Well I went at changing the head lamps because it was very very dangerous because all the lamps were flooded, and get some freon in the motor. My wife grabbed the hose and sprayed the mold. Immediately the camp grounds hall monitor comes storming "you cant clean that here, cuz then We'd have 70 thousand people here doing that."
He shook his head and walked away. Didn't greet us, tell us his name. Welcome us. Ask us about our beater RV. Introduce his wife. Nothing.
We won't he returning to the Ben RV campsite...it's very clear why the two spots in front of professor tattle...
Read moreThe camping site was pretty well maintained however they were extremely close to each other basically I could reach out from the picnic table and touched the other trailer. Now this is the first time that we have done trailer parking we're normally tent people so maybe this is normal for this type of accommodation. The grounds were well kept, what to expected for camping ground. Bathrooms look like they have not been updated since the 1970s. But it's still better than just a hole in the ground. Our concern was the amount of people that was at one site, one of our neighbors was perfectly fine no problems. The other one had a class A camper and 3 tents all on the same site. Loud music, unruly kids and multiple campfires for each tent and RV. Glad Sunday rolled around so we can get out of there. Parking enforcement did come around did come around on Saturday and had told some people that they needed to move so we're right next to the bathrooms. Guess they didn't drive far enough down into the 500 series...
Read moreTwo stars because the lady working in the front office was super friendly and helpful. We had issues with the electricity at the site. Our 30 amp plug melted on the trailer. After talking to front office she was very friendly and called Maintenance. He was there quick and replaced the plug and breakers in the box. He said it looked like the back of the plug was burned. But said nothing was wrong. I was wondering why replace these if there was nothing wrong. I talked to several other guests who had electrical issues before also. All that to say I have a claim filed for cost on repair of the camper. Not sure of the outcome yet. Also bathrooms are old and they were not clean at all. If you camp here bring a surge protector and be ready to shower in your camper. The beach...
