Peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a solo reset or a run with your dog. Olin Park is a hidden gem just minutes from the heart of Madison. It’s got everything I look for when I need a mental reset: quiet walking trails, sweeping views of Lake Monona, open grassy areas, and a peaceful vibe that helps you slow down and breathe a little deeper. You get one of the best skyline views of Madison across the water, especially at sunrise or sunset. There’s a small beach access point, picnic tables, and even a pavilion if you’re looking to post up for a bit. It’s also super dog-friendly — my pup had the time of her life out here. Great for long runs, journaling under a tree, or just catching your breath from life. Easy parking, low crowds, and a whole lot of calm. Highly recommend if you need space —mentally or physically.

This park is solid place to walk if you want a view of the capital. It is pretty small though. Parking is extremely limited and on a dirt lot. So, if you were looking for a nice and long walk, Picnic Point beats this park. However, if you must have that great capital view, I'd say this park has Picnic Point beat.

A great place for views and enjoying nature. This is one of my favorite places to see Madisons skyline. They have rest rooms and a great place to start the lake loop

I love this area and Olin’s Pavilion is a nice way to get out of the weather. However, when I went for a work event, it was hot and humid out that day. If there was better ventilation inside the pavilion, it would’ve been much...
