Read moreWe went to the visitor center and surrounding lake around the end of August, and let's just say.....we never expected the huge amount of literal clouds of brine flies.
If you see the pictures I've attached, they talk about it inside the visitor center, but when you're traveling through multiple states, it is kind of the last thing you'd expect when you're just wanting to do a quick stop on this cool looking salt lake hahaha. So, BEWARE flies everywhere from summer to the beginning of fall.
Additionally, my gosh, the smell was horrid! But as seen on the picture I attached is also normal so....overall I think that all things considered you should at least go! Won't hurt, and you'll have seen the big salt water lake!...
