This spot is perfect for soaking in fall colors and a chill hike! šŸ‚ The elevation hits about 440 feet, but it’s not too intense—great for most hikers. 🄾 Plenty of parking at Bull Run, and the trail’s clearly marked, so you won’t get lost. We started with a short slope into the woods; traffic noise fades as you go deeper, leaving a peaceful vibe. 🌳 Shady spots kept us cool even on a 90-degree afternoon. Only passed a few people, though one unleashed wet dog jumped on me—minor hiccup! šŸ˜… No picnic tables, but the riverbank’s great for a coffee break. ā˜• Heads-up: public restrooms at the trailhead were closed, so plan ahead. Awesome for families and...

I went with my no one year old son and we parked at Bull Run and then walked down a slight incline into the woods. As you head out, you can hear cars but the further you go, the sound disappears. It was a quiet trail and we only passed five people but we did start at 1:30 pm on a 90 degree day. There is a ton of shade and we did not overheat. There are clear marks throughout the trail to keep you on track. There was some woman who had her wet dog off leash and it jumped up on me but otherwise pretty uneventful. I recommend this for small kids and it was pretty easy. The public bathrooms are not open at the trailhead so plan to use the loo...

Free entry. Plenty of parking. The views of the water are lovely. Little challenge. Ideal for dog walking or chilling with the family in nature. You can also fish down by the river. Some parts of the trail are bumpy in pavement but never require any real effort to overcome. The bathrooms are locked up during the weekends. Fall is a fantastic time to come. It's somewhat popular so expect some folks on the way. There are some parts of the trail that don't allow biking and honestly, although horse riding is allowed, I do not recommend biking or equestrian activities here. Really great for walking and fishing and...
