This spot is perfect for soaking in fall colors and a chill hike! š The elevation hits about 440 feet, but itās not too intenseāgreat for most hikers. š„¾ Plenty of parking at Bull Run, and the trailās clearly marked, so you wonāt get lost. We started with a short slope into the woods; traffic noise fades as you go deeper, leaving a peaceful vibe. š³ Shady spots kept us cool even on a 90-degree afternoon. Only passed a few people, though one unleashed wet dog jumped on meāminor hiccup! š No picnic tables, but the riverbankās great for a coffee break. ā Heads-up: public restrooms at the trailhead were closed, so plan ahead. Awesome for families and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went with my no one year old son and we parked at Bull Run and then walked down a slight incline into the woods. As you head out, you can hear cars but the further you go, the sound disappears. It was a quiet trail and we only passed five people but we did start at 1:30 pm on a 90 degree day. The public bathrooms are not open at the trailhead so plan to use the loo...

Some parts of the trail are bumpy in pavement but never require any real effort to overcome. The bathrooms are locked up during the weekends. Fall is a fantastic time to come. It's somewhat popular so expect some folks on the way. There are some parts of the trail that don't allow biking and honestly, although horse riding is allowed, I do not recommend biking or equestrian activities here. Really great for walking and fishing and...
