Singing beach itself is such a beautiful beach. Probably one of the most beautiful beaches in Mass. However, the very generous citizens of “Manchester-By-The-Beach” would try everything in their power to gate keep it. We were just there on a Sunday afternoon, literally after 3 pm, and the parking lot was 75% empty if not more; yet we were told by the kids who work as “the beach attendants” that it is “residents only” on the weekends, and we have to drive back to city center, almost a mile away, to park. And when we tried to unload our 2 beach chairs, we were also told we shouldn’t even stop for less than 10 seconds to do that. Even at city center, where there are very few parking spots anyway, there was a parking attendant taking notes of the cars parked there to make sure they don’t exceed the timely limit. A very unusual procedure on a Sunday ! Singing beach is a beautiful “natural” landmark on American soil for all Americans to enjoy yet it looks that the generous community of Manchester try their best to keep...

I visited on August 11th, 2023. The beach did not sing like the name implied, the waves didn't break into song – they just had a seaweed party. But hey, if you're all about that seaweed life, this is your jam. Although, just a hop away at Crane beach, it's like seaweed never got the invite.
Wave alert: decent vibes but no boogie-boarding allowed. You might have to squint to spot the two lifeguard stations in this massive beach. Meanwhile, Crane beach is like a lifeguard fiesta with 7-8 stations!
Facilities? Well, let's just say there's room for improvement. The men’s bathroom has the feel of a shower you see in prisons on TV shows.
For $15.00 parking you can go to Salisbury beach and get similar experience and...

The nearby parking lot fills up quickly. There's another parking lot about a half mile away from the beach. That could be your best option. And there's a $10 fee per person. Seniors and children under 2 can enjoy free of charge. Overall it's a great beach for a family outing. Or...
