It’s my absolute favorite park in York County. I’ve lived in East York, (with the great Castle Park) I’ve lived in Downtown York and now I live in Spring Grove and I still take the drive to Cousler with my dog! It simply has everything! It’s large, there’s a paved loop which must be at least half a mile, a pond for the kiddos to look at, lovely kiddy play areas, a busy basketball court area, many many fields for soccer and softball etc. Many bathrooms, many poopy bag dispensers. A food vendor, ice cream truck visits often. And most importantly- there’s ALWAYS people! Married couples going out of their way to work jog together, pushing a stroller on that jog, kids on bikes, etc! There’s just always joy to be found at Cousler Park! Always chocolate milk cows...
Read moreCousler is the biggest and nicest park in South Central PA. There are multiple play areas, volley ball courts, basket ball courts (no missing nets), tennis courts, beautifully maintained paved paths around the entire area with a map to show you distance, a huge fenced in play ground for the smaller kids with water sprinklers during the summer and pavilions for picnic lunches placed all around the most heavily used areas of the park. PLUS they have public restrooms open all year round. I take my daughter here often, I jog around the paths then we play at the playground. There are used bandaids stuck to the sides of the park equipment, gum stuck to the top of all the benches so you get it stuck to your pants wherever you sit, and used tampon applicators in the parking lot. My 4 year old daughter actually found a bright purple tampon applicator the second she stepped out of the car and picked it up to show me. I can't believe the people coming to the park don't clean up after themselves. It's a community park and no one wants their child picking up used tampons and worry about gum and bloody bandaids...
