During a routine water test, we were notified that we had a high level of uranium in our residential artisan well, which presented a serious health risk to our family. Living in an era where it's challenging to find competent people who know how to solve problems, it was a breath of fresh air when our research reveled the website for Secondwind Water Systems.
Our first contact was with Matt Oliver, Water Specialist, who came out to our home to review our independent water analysis, in addition to conducting an on-site water test during his visit. He described the technical details of the system that would eliminate the uranium problem, and compared it to other systems that were available. Being a retired Quality Assurance Engineer in the Defense Industry, I was impressed with his depth of knowledge in water filtration.
Kevin Bennett, Water Treatment Technician, did an exceptionally good job installing the system, which makes it obvious that he takes pride in his workmanship. He labeled the valves that make it easy to identify the various positions during normal operation and took the time to technically review how the system works. Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with! Without exaggeration, the plumbing configuration that he provided could easily be considered a piece of art...it's beautiful!
Both Matt and Kevin speak highly of Christine Fletcher, President and Founder. They admire the way she treats employees and customers, and appreciate the ongoing training sessions that she provides on a regular basis, to keep everyone up to date. From my standpoint, that's a Win-Win for anyone who is associated with Secondwind, including customers!
The bottom line is, that after system installation, the test results for uranium from a state certified water laboratory , came back as below detection.

Read moreI contacted Secondwind Water Systems through email and a short time later I was contacted by Mike who came to my home and tested my water and explained to me and my wife what our options were. I needed to upgrade our old failing system.
Mike is very knowledgeable. What I most appreciated about Mike was being treated as a human. He listened to my concerns. He didnt act like a typical commission driven Car Salesman. He made it so easy my wife and I were able to make an informed decision on the spot to what system we were going to go with. I didn't have my head spinning during our meeting like the Car Salesman cause me when trading in and buying a new car.
I was then contacted by Danny who booked my appointment. He was easy to deal with. Emailed me all the available date/time slots available for the tech to come out and install my new system.
Adam Installed my system. On the install date I had a quick meeting with him before he began working on my new system. I explained to him what my concerns and expectations were in regards to Installation/placement. I am very picky when it comes to dealing with tradesmen. I dont like slop work. I like things correctly installed/neat in appearance. Adam was very patient, respectful and courteous during our meeting and sympathetic. Once he finished his work I went down to inspect it. He by far exceeded my expectations. His work/craftsmanship is off the charts on a whole new level. Everything was labeled, neat and installed correctly. He explained every last detail of the maintenance and inner workings of my new system.
Last but not least Christine from Accounting. She made my financial transactions/payments a very easy straight forward process. She was very pleasant and respectful on the phone at all times. She sent my receipts to my email as promised after taking my payments over the phone.

Read moreWe got our water system installed last September. We went with the whole home Metsorb arsenic system, and the Kinetico premier/Mach 2030’s for the softener.
Shortly after the system was up and running our water started smelling like sulfur. We tried several trouble shooting recommendations from Secondwind, and then was suggested several times that maybe our water chemistry had changed. While possible, I feel this was highly unlikely and did feel like they were blaming the well water as opposed to the system which was frustrating, and I found mildly offensive. (Full disclosure, I’m not a water expert but come on)
Secondwind came out and cleaned the entire system. After that didn’t work, we were advised to change out both the metsorb system, and the kinetico system. Apparently Metsorb has been problematic with a few customers. They came to the conclusion that we had sulfur reducing bacteria in our water and the softener system was creating a home for the growth of the bacteria, and the metsorb was effectively food for that bacteria.
This has been a roller coaster of a journey and was not flawless. I would say some of the experience was 3 star worthy, but I’m leaving 5 stars for a few reasons:
1.) The techs that have come out have always been excellent, on time, clean, courteous, knowledgeable, and transparent. They helped turn a negative experience positive.
2.) Overall the company stayed in communication and responded to our concerns. They took ownership, and worked to meet our needs to make sure we were happy.
3.) We didn’t have to pay anything to have the system swapped out, or for the service and were also given cash back. I think the company did the best they could given the circumstances and I respect that.
While it would have been great to have a system installed out of the gate with no issues, I do think there is something to be said about a company that doesn’t run from problems, and I do really appreciate them (and Jesse our sales person, who stayed in communication over the past year) working to...
