It's really not for the public at large.
The city and Lakeshore residents treat this property as their private front yard. No picnicing, no meetings, weddings, no cooking, no hamicks, no beverages! Police patrol it for total compliance. Not public friendly at all ! We, the taxpayers, are not welcome but we Pay for it's up keep ,not the Lakeshore residents!
I guess they just don't want us to enjoy Our Public Park...that we taxpayers have spent millions on building walls to protect their private property....more than the city has spent on the rest of the city.
The Mandeville Lakefront is not for us to enjoy. They even threw the annual festival out..too much , too...

Mandeville has built several kiddy parks along the lakefront, I do believe that adding restrooms to the lakefront area would be a welcoming site. As we all know there's only one day out of the year that picnicking is allowed on the beach and that's during the Family & Friends Reunion it happens every year on the West end...
