Did this hike as a follow up to a hike in the National Park with lots of elevation the day before. If you stay on Buena Suerte Rd it’s kind of flat and boring. But if you do the 3 side loops ( dog cholla, Chrystal trail, & Rock Quarry) it’ adds elevation and some great views of the east side of Lajitas Mesa & Contrabando Mountain. Ended up with 7.15 miles and 350’ of elevation. Turned around at the juncture of Chrystal trail & Buena Suerte Rd. Good for hiking, trail running &...
