McBride Briar Patch — Attraction in Mapleton

I came here with my 3 year old today and we had such a special experience picking strawberries. You can get accurate hours for the McBride Briar Patch by calling the number on the listing, but they were open from 8-12 this Saturday. They had tons of delicious red juicy strawberries we could pick at just $3.50 a pound. The couple that own the farm were so kind, genuine, and sweet. They also take Venmo which was super convenient. They have buckets you can take (even little buckets for my son) to pick the berries with. After you're done you can weigh the berries and take them home! This is an adorable place! We came here for berry picking and were warmly greeted by the couple that runs the farm. They are super cute with kids, too.

Here's the details:

•They have buckets for you when you pick, but BYO containers to take home. They have string to tie around your waist or neck so that you can pick with both hands. Bring long sleeves or gloves!

•They sell the produce by the pound and price depends on what you pick.

•The farm has blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, and apples.

•The farm is open 8a-8p MWF. Check out the FB page incase they close early due to berries being all picked.

•They take cash, cc, and Venmo.

We’ve been berry picking here the last 3 years. The owners are so friendly and kind, and their friendly dog is a bonus!

They have a plethra of berries to pick and they are delicious. We’ve picked strawberries, blackberries and raspberries depending on the time of year. It is kid friendly but if you are raspberry picking, have your littles wear pants so they don’t get scratched up.

They also provide some nice touches like complimentary water cups with a water jug, and there’s a porta potty available on-site.
