Fred's Beds & Furniture — Attraction in Marathon

Just moved back into Florida and needed common bedroom essentials. Was on the phone talking to my spouse after finding something we needed and a lady walks over and asks if I needed help. Informed her I might but i do apologize but please give me a second as I need to confirm something with the spouse on what we needed and she automatically rolls her eyes two or three times and scoffs whiles walking away. I do understand it is a business but when I give a reason and apologize before hand since my conversation with my spouse was about confirming a purchase she would of understood as it was under a minute phone call. I ended up picking out about $300 worth of merchandise from this place walk back up to the front and she says do you need anything I say pillows if you may have any and she says with an attitude you were standing right in front of them but they were all in compressed cardboard boxes I didn't know as I was looking at larger bedrooms sheets. By the end she walks me over I grab a few more things and she goes to check me out. It wasn't until she rang me up for over $600 of merchandise her entire attitude changed. I may give this place another chance in the future because people have off days but we may just take our future bedroom purchases to the exchange on the Naval base or head back up towards homestead for a Bed Bath And Beyond or something. I love supporting local communities and smaller businesses but living across multiple states over 9 years of military and civil service this was my worst experience and honestly made me contemplate buying anything at all but like I said people...

I had to replace all of the furniture in my condominium after Hurricane Irma. I went to the other "real" Furniture store in town and found a couple of pieces that I liked. They seemed kind of expensive and they charge for delivery, so I proceeded to Fred's Bed, where I had previously made a few minor purchases. Not only did they have several pieces that I really liked and purchased on the spot, but they said they were able to get the exact dining room set I had seen at the other store, but it was priced 25% lower, and Fred's delivers for free.

The place is kind of hard to see from the highway, and appears quite unassuming, but they have a terrific amount in stock, and if they don't have it they can get it, and quickly too!

I am very satisfied with their selection, prices, and service. I am currently looking at a terrific glass-topped sea turtle themed coffee table that I really like. I hope I can find room for it in my rather...

Free, quick, professional delivery every time I have purchased, not to mention the prices are great. Durable and great looking items that LAST! I have three boys, and everything I have purchased in the past is still in great shape.

I went in this morning and found exactly what I was looking for to replace a couch and add a recliner. I ended up purchasing the couch, my recliner and two end tables. Everything has already been delivered and set up. The owner and all of his staff have always been very friendly, patient, and helpful. You will not go wrong by shopping and purchasing from here.
