The Oak at Millsite Farm — Attraction in Margaretta Township

The Oak at Millsite Farm was the perfect place to have our wedding, and we could not be happier with how everything went!

We first visited the property in December, a time when Ohio is not very colorful. That did not stop us from immediately knowing that this venue was going to be gorgeous in July. In our first few meetings with Jewel to discuss the possibilities, we would look out the window to the massive oak tree on the property and imagine what our wedding day would look like. Everything about the property was perfect to us. It was close to home and we knew it would be easy for family and friends to get to. The guest house was the perfect place for the girls to stay in the night before and to get ready on our wedding day. Having the guest house to stay in after our wedding created a stress free night for us since we did not have to worry about getting off the property and could focus on celebrating. The barn is just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside, and the setup for the dance floor was ideal for getting as many people out there as we could. The food options made available were incredible and everyone loved it. So many options to choose from and they all are amazing.

The Oak tree itself is an unbelievable centerpiece to the property. It provided the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and it could not have looked more stunning. We have heard back from many guests saying the ceremony was one of the most beautiful ceremonies they had been to. It is truly a one of a kind place.

Throughout the entire process, Jewel was our go-to. Any question or concern, Jewel had the answer. She was full of creative ideas that helped us shape our day into a unique night like no other. We never had anything to worry about during the planning process and on our wedding day because of Jewel. She and her amazing team kept everything moving on time and made sure our guests were taken care of. Her professionalism and care for us and our guests was second to none.

We are so thankful the Lord led us to The Oak at Millsite Farm. The Oak at Millsite Farm was the first venue we visited, and I knew from the moment I met Jewel, this was going to be the venue for our daughter's wedding and reception. We even hosted our rehearsal dinner here. It was so wonderful to have the property for the entire weekend. The wedding party stayed at the guesthouse, which was very convenient (it's a great venue for group events!). The wedding ceremony was held under the magnificent oak tree (which has a branch that forms a lovely natural arch), and the reception was in the barn, with additional tables set up outside the barn. We chose the ultimate decor package, and I am so glad we did. I am used to being responsible "for everything," and handing that responsibility over to someone else for something so important to me was difficult. Health challenges for the bride and groom in the last few months and weeks before the wedding probably made me more type-A than normal, but Jewel and Beth had become friends to me; they worked with me and came through on every front. Jewel and her designer captured our daughter's vision and executed it perfectly. The barn was breathtakingly beautiful - charming and elegantly rustic. And the upstairs loft (perfect for the groom and groomsmen) was stunning. Beth made sure the food was beyond delicious! We heard (and have) particularly high praise for the Pot Roast, Chicken with Red Pepper Sauce, Garlic Cavatappi and Spinach Artichoke Dip!! This is more than a business for this family. They genuinely care about what matters to you, and about YOU! Jewel and Tim made our family and friends feel welcomed and valued. People still remark to me about how perfect everything was - food, decor, atmosphere, everything. The Oak at Millsite was our second venue visit and immediately after talking with Jewel, we knew this was the right venue for us. During the year and a half leading up to our wedding, we had an extremely open line of communication with Jewel and she kept us up to date with anything and everything that was going on. The weekend of the wedding we were completely blown away from start to finish. We chose to do the weekend stay with our wedding party. Jewel led our rehearsal which was phenomenal. The stay at the house was better than any hotel stay by far. Anything we needed she was there and did everything in her power to make all 10 of us feel beyond welcome. Then came the day of the wedding itself. Words can not express how PERFECT and AMAZING our wedding turned out thanks to Jewel, Tim and Staff. We were super worried about the weather. It was looking like it was going to have to be indoors. That did not happen. The sun came out and the staff busted their butts to make sure our wedding happened at the tree! The ceremony was absolutely perfect with everything Jewel and her staff did. HIRE HER AS YOUR COORDINATOR! You will not regret it! After the ceremony we finally walked into the barn for dinner. We were absolutely blown away with the decorations they did for us. Perfect is not a good enough word to describe everything. The food, I am speechless with the food. It was not your normal wedding food at all! There was not one thing on our menu that people did not like! The colonnade did an amazing job catering!
