Discriminates against elderly, disabled, and pregnant patrons. They will not allow disabled patrons access to the pool area after 11 a.m. They literally lock the doors and block access for any person who is not able to walk 1/4 mile in the Arizona heat, during the summer. This may seem like a small task, but it is an insurmountable obstacle for people who are not able-bodied. They do not have anywhere to do independent exercise, like yoga. They lock any rooms that would be available, to stretch, and charge $42 per hour, with a 2 hour minimum to rent the room, that should be available to everyone. Can't run on the treadmill? Can't, or don't want to attend the once daily group class? Well, too bad. There is nowhere for you to exercise in the facility.. where you pay...to exercise...indoors. There is a single room crowded with equipment, and an indoor track. There is no open area for stretching or training. So if you feel like a solo workout, you are out of luck. Their bathroom policies are anti-family. If you are a Mama with a four year old son, you cannot take him into the bathroom. You would have to send him alone, into the Men's room, with a wet swimsuit, and hope that he can figure out how to get dressed and dry on his own. Hope that he doesn't need help wiping, since they are bulldogs about not letting parents change with their kids of opposite sex. They literally post signs. They do have locked bathrooms available for families, so if you are in the pool, you have to walk, in your swimsuit, with your kids, in their swimsuits, soaking wet, to the front desk, and have someone come unlock it for you, and hope that nobody else has to go potty, because the doors automatically lock behind you when you leave, and you will have to repeat the entire process. They are not actually there to promote recreation and fun, they make it the most miserable difficult experience possible, for people who just want to get healthy, or go to the swimming pool. Also, the automatic door opener has been broken for months, so if you have a walker, wheelchair, or stroller, be prepared to wait until someone nice opens the door for you.

Beautiful facility, nice staff, clean modern equipment for the most part, but a couple issues of recent issues which is what this so so rating is about: 1. the senior parking seems to be gone lately and I've witnessed a younger age group (mid-20's) of people using those spaces. Not good and disrespectful. 2. the past couple of weeks, I've experienced people "holding" equipment for their friend who aren't even standing by the equipment! That is rude. 3. when people "walk" the track, baby strollers take up room, sometimes a lane and a half; people insist on walking side by side and it's difficult to pass. Maybe this will improve when cooler weather comes back, but annoying as heck to try and walk or run the track. Maybe time to look for a new place. October 2022. Does the woman in this photo look like a senior? When I asked her if she realized she parked in a senior spot, she shrugged her shoulders and said "Yes, but no big deal". Such disrespect.

The date: August, 4th, 2021. Current temperature:112 degrees Fahrenheit. Copper Sky Aquatic Center, without ANY notice to the public, has closed their pool during the week, in summer, because all of their staff are high school students (I'm not really surprised, but, still). Unacceptable. Please do your civic duty and hire adults to work during the week, us tax-paying adults with toddlers, the elderly, and other single adults want to utilize the pool during the middle of the week, especially in the summer! K, Thanks! Support job creation, I can guarantee that you will get adults to apply for this position!

Edit: Per your response, you literally ignored everything that I said. Further, I am speaking specifically about open swim, not lap swim. Parents with toddlers are not able to utilize lap swim, and many adults and the elderly do not wish to lap swim, and would prefer to relax in the main recreational pool. If the facility receives any tax dollar support from this community, it should do the right thing and provide accomodations for those of us who do not care to lap swim, especially in this weather. Additionally, my husband was told prior to the August 8th time change, by one of your employees, that the pool had to close during the week because all of the pool staff were high school students, hence my reference to hiring adults for open swim...

I really try to give them the benefit of the doubt but man the organization of this place is just sloppy. My first bad experience was a couple years ago when I rented the room with access to the pool and splash pad, when we got their the pool area was closed for life guard training. So I had room full of people that showed up with bathing suits and a closed pool. Been a few other things with sports and stuff. Most recently I signed my daughter up for intro to soccer, all I received was an email saying first meeting is on June 7th with no time and “session week 2” no time or dates. So I have been thinking I will get something with more info, nope. So I call on June 7th to get the time of the first meeting and I’m told the camp started on June 6th so now I guess we’ve missed 2 days of the camp, took them over an hour between talking to them on the phone and them having to call me back because they also couldn’t find the times etc... It’s just run really poorly and very disorganized, it’s not that hard to keep times on the site or to send out follow up emails. Everyone does those things now a days but they just seem not to really care Bc it’s run by the city and will be open no...
