No parking available near entrance. Could not drive up the road, road was blocked off. No parking along the roadside approaching the entrance. No signs to know you were there. Once on the trail it was wide enough for a car to drive up and down. Lots of biking and hiking trails in the reserve and lots of people using it. On the hike up the wide as a car path I met a local who showed me some of the walking pads and when we got to the convergence of the two rivers she told me which river was which river showed me the falls. Met two of the bikers that were riding the trails. They were locals and very nice. Then I was there alone in the peaceful woods with a picnic table at the convergence of the two rivers and right at the waterfall. There were trails going up and down the sides of the river. The water was very cold and felt good after the long walk. Keep going past the sanitary station (dump) on the road, then it turns to a two track about half a mile. We walked back and there was a new bridge which overlooked a cute fall. We were going to just leave but there was a trail following the river downstream so we thought we would just see where it led. Didn't seem like much because the trail was so high and the river was about 40 feet straight down but we found an area that was still steep but doable for us 50+ year olds and hard as it was was sooo worth it. Hike down was one of the more extreme...
Read moreFrom the end location that Google Maps takes you, It's about a 1 mile walk to the falls. Continue straight along the road in the direction google was taking you for about 1/2 mile. Then you will see a marked trail going sharply off to the right. Follow that trail for about 1/2 mile and you will come to the falls.
Actually it is more a string of cascades rather than one fall. Difficult to get near the water and difficult to get good pictures because of the woods. But a pretty walk...
