This is a beautiful park! It has great views and also a public restroom, picnic benches and even lifeguard stations. The seagulls that live around here are pretty bold though so watch out! I noticed one seagull mike several swipes at a few people’s food as they where picnicking. It’s not too far from downtown, but yet it still feels peaceful and relaxing. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you are ever in the area as it was a very pleasant experience for me as I traveled through here.

On a sunny late September day, there’s no finer place to walk a beach, especially the rare Lake Superior Sandy beach. Uncrowded. And one end of beach offers a close up view of operations at the ore dock. Clean sand and clean, clear water are soothing.

It's a beautiful place. Limited parking, but a nice little place e that makes you feel like you went somewhere other than close to home, even tho, lol you are still near home. You're near the University and that means you're near food.

Brand new to Marquette in 2016. Life guard station. Nice sandy beach. Please use boardwalk down to beach not the beach grass 😉 more parking across the street. Access the Marquette bike path across the street. About a mile down to Presque Isle. Has picnic tables, drinking fountains, grills, and a bike rack, rinse station to wash sand off feet, covered picnic tables under a pavilion. We took some wedding photos here and loved them. Nice backdrop of the ore dock maybe a freighter as well as the lake and boardwalk. The pretty stone wall makes something nice to...

This park was a fantastic alternative to Presque Isle for a quick picnic lunch. The picnic tables are sturdy and clean and the bathrooms were very clean and convenient. With a ton of cars headed to Presque Isle it was great to find a picnic table overlooking the water before heading to drive the loop. We will definitely stop here again, maybe even to venture to the sandy...
