Visited on 6.22.2025. I learned how the Ore Dock worked when I visited the Maritime Museum in Marquette. Unfortunately there were no ship loadings that coincided with my travels through this area of Michigan. The magnitude of railroad cars need to fill the freight holds is fascinating.

Was at he Presque isle park to take a phone call and saw a wonderful sight, a freighter coming in. By chance I happened to beat the park and drove over to park near the dock, walked to the beach area to watch in awe!!! You can check the freighter's expected into the dock on the Marine...

I saw the dock from the steam ship I was on. One of the most efficient docks I have been to, rarely is there a delay. The guards at the entrance are Professional and courteous, thorough when it comes to keeping...
