Mt. Marquette Overlook — Attraction in Marquette

I didn't know about this lookout until a close friend of mine suggested we go. It turned out to be one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. You can see the entirety of downtown Marquette—it was fun to watch the stoplights turn from blinking to solid at 6:30am. It's crazy how high up you are compared to everything else, and that also makes it the perfect sunrise spot. I've watched the sunrise over Lake Superior a few times, but in terms of best locations to do so, this one easily takes the cake. Mt. Marquette Overlook offers one of the most stunning panoramic views in the Upper Peninsula. The short drive up is well worth it, with a mix of paved and gravel roads leading to the summit. At the top, you’re greeted with a sweeping view of Marquette, Lake Superior, Presque Isle, and the surrounding forest—absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunrise or sunset. Always enjoy a evening atop the mtn overlooking Marquette. Always a stop when cruising around on the bike. Yes motorbike to the top. The road gets maintained and improved on over the years. Never mind those chatter bumps and get to the top easy does style. So worth the view. Sit out and enjoy a picnic or a good conversation with your friends and family.
