Artificial turf field means my boys can play all year. There are also great trails winding around the hills and ponds. There miles of trails in the park despite being relatively small. A stream cuts through the park and dammed naturally in a few spots giving the park the "lakes" part of it's name. The hidden part comes from how low the ponds are compared to the surrounding terrain. The last pond has a fountain aerating the water. I assume that is why the last lake doesn't suffer from algae blooms. I have seen fisherman at this last lake as well indicating it has a healthy ecosphere. Above it all limestone hills tower giving the hiker/trail-runner lots of variety. I especially like the bridges on the trails which cross the lakes/ponds/streams where the water has cut...

Hidden Lakes is a quaint little park in Martinez off of Morello Avenue. There is a big soccer field surronded by a high quality running track, basketball courts and a playground for youngsters. There is plenty of open grassy space with picnic tables, charcoal grills and a restroom. The park itself is surrounded by several acres of open space with walking paths great for hiking or walking your dog. One of which leads to a little man made lake surrounded by open space (hence the name). Pretty and quiet place to hike and feel like you've gotten out of the suburbs without actually...

This park is the perfect sport activity spot! Baseball fields, a soccer field with track around it, volleyball sand court area (bring your own net though). They have a basketball court area as well but the hoops aren't on right now unfortunately. They have a small playground and a climbing playground. Love to hike? They got beautiful hills to hike through also! Can you find the water fountain?! 😉 Lots of tables also if you wana just come down and enjoy your lunch!

Here's My daughter enjoying the sand at the volleyball "court" while her brother is playing...

Great place to park and hike or let the kiddos play. Small playground, large soccer area, basketball and volleyball courts. Bring your own net and supplies. Near baseball fields, but I don't know if those are open to the public. All around nice park with bathrooms and picnic tables and grills. I've been hiking here with my kids since they were 4 and 7. There are "hidden lakes" along the trail that aren't visible from the park.

A very nice park. Usually, I personally think a lot of parks in Diablo Valley area are too small, but this is a good size and it's connected to Hidden Valley park. On a nice sunny day there's lots of people around the picnic area, playground and the soccer field. However the dirt trails and lake (pond) doesn't have much people at all. So it's a good place to walk and get a small escape from the neighborhood.
