Cascade Lake — Attraction in Maryland

Horrendous staff!! Seriously, horrendous!!! They yelled and screamed at my 5 year old when he was approaching the lifeguard, after a whistle was blown. The lifeguard continued to blow her whistle and scream at him, even after I said, while standing next to her, that he was coming and to stop screaming. He was embarrassed, confused and crying hysterically. She showed absolutely no remorse, refused to apologize to him and later laughed at me when I spoke to her manager about the situation. Her name is Mandy and she is one of the most hateful people I've ever met. Don't take your children to this establishment....

If you rent the pool & massive shaded area for eating in a pavillion, you will gave a great day, for sure! But this year the lake itself had to be drained due to serious storms that pretty much destroyed the dam holding the water there. Hopefully, it will be back for the summer of 2019...fingers crossed! Beautiful location! Added later..it was for sale last August and I heard it was closed down over COVID19. Such a shame! Hope they find a buyer. Would hate to see all that beautiful land become a housing development. And don't trust me on it being closed. Just...

The lake is a lot of fun, to swim in the deep end you must take a swim test which isn't too hard, but if you fail it the lake is quite boring. Would not...
