We attended Olney Days festivities here for the second consecutive year and had a great time. There was plenty of room to sit and watch the fireworks (bring your own chair or blanket), and an 80s cover band and separate swing/big band provided solid entertainment while remaining far enough apart from each other so as to not bleed over one another. Food trucks and games contributed to a carnival-like atmosphere. The event itself is free, but the vendors charge for food. A well-run community event and the fireworks are very good!

Here for the dog park, which is great. They have separate spaces for big and small dogs and everyone is super friendly (people and dogs). They have a small children's park here too and are almost finished with a new bigger one. Plus they have all the other stuff associated with the town (swim center, baseball fields, and a duck pond).

These are the only handball courts i know of in the general area. And they are perfectly kept with a lot of tennis and indoor raquetball courts. Best park in the area. Dog park doesnt have much shade but the small and large dog park are both very spacious. Oh yea and dont forget the large pool where most of the families go to.

There are a lot of things to do there. There is are indoor swimming pools fpr adults and children, and they have saunas in the men and women's locker rooms, and a hot tub for adults in the pool area. They also have a Weight and Exercise Room there, they have Tennis Courts, Basketball Courts, Baseball Diamonds. There's also a Dog Park there, and a Golf Driving Range, and a Skateboard Park. There are also lots of Picnic Areas, with Swings and Playground equiptment for the little ones. There are also Racquet Ball Courts. They cost nothing to use but at night you have to turn on the light timer which may cost something. I haven't used those in years but from what I remember the lights are coin operated. I can't remember how much, but you can call ahead and find out. If you acan't call before they close, or you can leave a message and they will...

I really enjoyed taking my dogs to this park. It's clean, spacious, and doesn't smell. Getting water is a little inconvenient though. My biggest gripe has to be over certain frequent visitors of the park. Their dogs are friendly, but also enjoy mounting my dogs (which is not enjoyable for my dogs). The owners make jokes or comments about how their dog "just wants to get laid" or that it's "friendly behavior" while my dogs are showing stress indicators. As a result, I'll no longer take my dogs to this park. It's important to be your dog's advocate and remove them from any distressing activity/environment. But it's also important to monitor your dog and prevent any over-excitement from escalating. Because what you think is "friendly behavior" can easily erupt to your dog getting...

Olney Manor Recreational Park is a fantastic outdoor space in Olney, Maryland, perfect for dog owners and families alike. With its fenced-in dog park, open green spaces, and walking trails, it offers a great opportunity for dogs to explore, socialize, and burn energy off-leash.

The park is well-maintained, and the atmosphere is peaceful—great for both casual strolls and more structured playtime. The location makes it easily accessible for residents of Olney, Rockville, Gaithersburg, and Silver Spring looking for a dog-friendly spot.

As a dog trainer serving the Washington, D.C. metro area, I always recommend this park for pet owners looking to provide their dogs with enriching outdoor experiences. A great place to reinforce training in a safe, positive...
