This is our favorite spot to take our 2 year old who loves the water. It's got clean port-a-potties in the parking lot, short walk to the sand, very clean and beautiful beach. Only downside is the biting flies - which seem to be more active in the afternoon as opposed to the morning when we rarely see any. And the jellyfish. We were all stung by a jellyfish but it wasn't bad - our 2 year old didn't even cry, just got scared and wanted to be picked up.

This is where me and my girlfriend or whoever I may be going to the beach with that day goes to stay away from the crazy traffic sometimes it’s packed but no where near the chaos of ocean city

4 stars only because of the bugs, otherwise, it's a great beach to take the kids to burn energy and cool off

My home is located about the same distance from the Delaware Atlantic shoreline as it is the mouths of large Cheasapeake Bay tributaries. The Nanticoke River is about a half mile from my house. It's inland, but still fairly wide and deep. I usually fish the beaches of Delaware Seashore, Cape Henlopen, etc. But this fall and winter I wanted to try something a little different. So I started heading west and south, towards the area of Bivalve, Quantico, Nanticoke, etc. Roaring point has been brought up in family conversation numerous times, but oddly enough, as a lifelong resident of the Eastern Shore...I had never been. I took the trip down on a Saturday, to get in some late season fishing. The park is beautiful. Trails, massive pine trees and forested areas. A short walk of the parking lot is the beach. Narrow as it may be, for a river...it's still pretty impressive. The Nanticoke River at this point is completely opened up to the bay, you can barely see land across the way. And a look to your west and you can't see land at all. It was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. I talked to a couple locals while I was there and they did say it can get a bit busy in the summer. I'm used to coastal beach resorts. I can't imagine they see a fraction of the traffic down at this location. Either way, it's a relaxing spot, sure to have any outdoor activity you are...

Used to be a great place to visit with a beautiful, clean little beach and really cool trees. But honestly it's been so dirty the last 3 times we visited we're not going back. Last time clinched it when we watched a large group of Mexicans throwing beer cans and used DIAPERS into the grasses. These people are disgusting and absolutely destroying...
