Free entry. Parking lot fits up to about 20 cars. Maybe more. Hardly busy even on the weekends. Kind of a cool sight to see. Trailhead starts here as well. Bike, jog, dog walk here. All pretty good for it. It's a great place to just sit in nature on the berms of the shoreline looking over the river. Some spots of the trail are spotty though and there are bees on the Northside of the trail.

I did enjoy the visit on Saturday September 3rd. The nice morning was unfortunately short-lived when 4 vehicles were broken into in the lot adjacent to the mill and had items taken. Keep this in mind when visiting the parks. Crime is on the rise.

Came early in the morning and there was a beautiful sunrise. I am not sure if the mill opens for tours or looking around but it is in nice condition. Area very enjoyable for a run or walk.

I love Grist Mills! Beautiful multi-story stone structure with a fairly large water wheel around 25 plus feet in diameter. Very Scenic as it is along the Susquehanna and the mostly defunct canal. Great hiking spot they used to have tours but I don't know if they still do. Lots of History to see and read about. When I drive by here several times a year. The Mill Race for the Grist Mill is very visible. You can follow it up to the overflow dam which is pretty cool to see also. Don't forget to check out the coke furnace just up Deer Creek which is a couple miles Upstream from the mill. Probably not extremely wheelchair friendly because of gravel Road and parking lot....

Nice walk through history with a working, water driven grist mill. Tours are provided as are live demonstrations between 1-3pm during spring and summer. Even my 2 & 4 yr old boys where interested in all the machinery and other things to see. It is also Central to a lot of trails and other natury...
