Look Rock Picnic Area — Attraction in Maryville

Beautiful Overlook views. A few picnic tables have lovely Vistas, but most places inside the picnic area don't have good views from the tables. We walked in when the picnic area was closed, for unknown reasons, perhaps covid-19. Some of the roads going to this area are dangerous with too many very sharp turns, some of which also occur with serious elevation changes in the turns. I recommend coming and going by other Road from the north if you wish to have a safer journey and avoid the foolish people who think it appropriate to speed or race on the...

Great place for some amazing views! The trailers paved, maintained with a moderate slope. Once at the top of the trail, you'll find a tower to which you'll have to walk 3 ramps up to the very top. Not bad by all means. When you are at the top, you'll be treated to some amazing views of the Smokies to the south and the valley (Maryville, Knoxville etc) to the north. Truly a nice experience. Picnic area is good, but i drove through the camps to check it out and wasnt blown away. Camp spots are small, but there's not a lot of room on the apex of ridgeline to make a ton of space. They have rv spots with water and power, bathrooms have water, but there is no shower for camp guests. Would be good for getaway...
