Love the lake and what it has to offer. But I walk the walking path on Ravine Drive next to the lake every day and it has been disgusting. The branches are growing over and into the path so you need to duck several times as you walk the path. The problem is between Washington Av and Grant Av on Ravine Drive. The grass is growing on both sides of the path and is slowly taking over the path. The leaves have not been raked and today the wet leaves were very slippery. I would hate to see someone slip and fall there. I have called the county and the town and no one really knows who is responsible. I had the mayor knocking on my door several weeks ago asking if I had any concerns. I told him about the walk and he did nothing. Very disappointed in this...

For shore anglers there is some access but fairly limited given the size of the lake. Theres fishable shore by the launch ramp, spill way and docks located on Ravine Dr., also a small shore line under the Rt. 34 bridge which crosses over Lefferts. But to truely enjoy this lake I suggest some type boat or kayak. This is a big lake with big, bright colored fish. Healthy lake. Some of the most vibrant colored fish Ive had the pleasure of seeing in NJ lake. Largemouth bass, pickeral, perch, great crappie, cats, all panfish.
