I only gave them a two because of their beautiful unique flowers and trees. Things I have never seen before. On that alone probably worth going when you have plenty of time way earlier in the day. Open 10 am to 4pm. Only Friday to Monday. Cost to get in. You can't trust the brouchers in town taking about discounts because some brouchers are older and price to get in and discount is wrong. The first problem we had partly our fault was not getting there earlier in the day. However as a respectable business when you get some where and you only have half hour left before closing 1. Warn the people coming in. 2. Don't charge the last half hour or at least not full price. That was ridiculous. I felt even worse for the people coming in after us 3. You are a lavender farm so point out were to see said lavender. Especially if you only have a half hour. We seen just a few lavender plants mixed in with the amazing not from this planet other plants and trees. The colors shapes and forms keeps you wowing. Mind you we were walking around the gardens and just about 10 minutes to 4 a woman came driving by saying make your way to your vehicles we are closing. We said we just got there less than a half hour ago and paid full price. She said she was sorry but we needed to make our way to our car that they close promptly at 4. She thanked us for coming. I have know idea what the gift shop looks like. I have been here before years ago and was so looking forward to coming back and to share with my first time to Maui sister in law. It is much different than I remember. Like I said our fault for getting there late. But we should have been warned about having less than half hour or hey please come back another day if you can so you can throughly enjoy. And see the lavender fields if there is any. The gardens that we did walk is very uneven. Shoes without a back strap not so good. I finally took off my sandals because I kept twisting my ankle. There is some pea gravel paths but the are narrow and not good at all for wheelchairs. Wheelchairs can over see at least part of the gardens by following the paved path. I seen portable toilets but not sure if that is all the have or not and if the have any wheelchair accable ones. I was so saddened and shocked, I'm not sure we will go back again...

Stunning hillside views overlooking the Pacific — it’s paradise. The fragrant smell of lavender surrounds you as you stroll through the gardens. A Zen experience with many quiet places to relax, read, meditate, sketch, and enjoy nature. We tried the lavender infused brownies and the lavender sweet potato chips — I highly recommend. Before visiting the farm, I couldn’t imagine eating Lavender — I’m so glad I tried it. There is a local shop called The Maui Cookie Lady that partners up in the spring making Lavender infused cookies. I plan on ordering online and can’t wait to try. The gift shop has so many options — essential oils, lotions, soaps, creams, balms, and culinarily items. I’m so glad I was able to experience it in person. My favorite purchase is the Lavender + Amber essential oil roller with Coconut Oil. Every time I roll it on, it takes me back to the beautiful hillside. It’s like taking a fresh breath of Maui. I can’t think of a better way to relax. I cherish the afternoon I spent with my daughter at the Ali’i Kyla Lavender Farm and hope to see it again one day. If your looking for a lovely inland excursion whilst visiting Maui, it’s a beautiful drive, and a great place to stop along the way to Haleakala National Park, the Tea Farm, or shopping in Historic Makawao. Incidentally, I learned about the farm from Kihei Canoe Club (another Maui experience I highly recommend). I was out on a sunrise paddle and I asked our guide what other fun things he recommends to do in Maui. He suggested the...

The Farm is high in elevation and is prone to misty rain during the winter... so bring a sweater if you are cold natured. Tours are $12 per person or $10 per person if you book ahead of time ( we called 40 minutes before the next tour and that was enough to discount -$2 per ticket).

There is a $3/person parking fee just to park the car- $2/person if you are over 60.

The tour of the small farm lasts 1 hour but is not a long walk. There are a few steep declines along the path so not recommended for those who prefer level ground. The tours not only shows you the varieties of Lavender plants, but also gives you a clipping from each plant so you can smell and touch the various types. You have a small bundle at the end of the tour you can keep. The lovely people in the gift shop will even tie it up with a purple ribbon for you. You also get to see a wide variety of other vegetation on the tour.

Note: you can wander the same paths and grounds as the tour without a guide, but you won’t get the description of the plants.

The grounds are well maintained and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. 💜

The Gift Shop has shirts, chocolates, candies, honey, bath and body products all with Lavender. We tried the coffee and brownies. Unfortunately I didn’t read the reviews before I bought..... and I concur that the Brownies are not worth the price and the coffee was ‘Ok’ .

Overall, we loved the tour and would recommend it. We placed our bundle of Lavender in our suitcase to make our clothes smell...
