Our family (Mom, Dad, & two teenage kids) had a wonderful experience taking the guided tour of Ono Organic Farms. It was by far our family's favorite experience on the island of Maui. The farm is in a beautiful, picturesque setting just past Hana in the rainforest. Our knowledgable, friendly, and passionate tour guide Nick drove us around the farm in a four-wheel drive vehicle. We frequently stopped to pick and sample all the fruit that was in season on the farm - this was an interactive experience with plenty of opportunities to pick our own fruit and Nick was sure to involve the kids in the process, keeping them engaged. Nick explained how to determine if the fruit was ripe and how best to cut it (which he did for us using a large banana leaf as an "organic cutting board"). We had well over a dozen different fruits including papaya, pomelo, durian, guava, avocado, jackfruit, mountain apple, mango, banana, coconut, cacao, acerola cherries, and more. In between stops, Nick would explain the history of the farm, the principles of organic farming, and various interesting facts about the fruit we were eating. At the end of the tour, Nick sent us away with enough fresh fruit to last us the rest of our trip (you can't bring fresh fruit back to the mainland). We can't say enough what an incredibly memorable, beautiful, and informative experience the tour of Ono Organic Farms with Nick was. If you are only going to do one tour on Maui definitely make it this one - we give it our highest recommendation!

We recently had the pleasure of having a private tour guided by Bobby. The tour was incredible! He was so kind, passionate, and knowledgeable. We got to try tons of different fruits, it was by far worth it. This tour is a staple and one we will always do every time we visit Maui. I made sure to plan our road to Hana trip on day 3 of our 10 day trip so that we could take a big box of fruit back to our condo and boy did they load us up! We had enough for the 3 of us to have breakfast and a little in the evening, too, each day until we left. We are so grateful. My husband is 100% fruitarian, my son and I 95% fruit based.. and we strictly eat organic at home. So this was such a perfect treat! We miss it already 🥲 thank you Ono Organic Farms and Bobby! We look forward to coming back as soon as we can ♥️

My daughter and I enjoyed a personal tour of the farms by way of a mule (motorized). Our guide had been working there for 8 years and was very knowledgeable. We made several stops under various fruit trees, many of which I had never heard, and he cut fresh fruit and presented it to us on a cutting board. He provided bug spray, paper towels (needed for the juicy fruit), and hand wash. We spent 2 hours on the tour and finished back at a covered area where we filled a box full of fresh fruit to take with us! We paired this activity with a drive on the Road to Hana. It was a long drive, and treacherous at times, but we are glad we visited Ono!

Shady at best. I offered to volunteer on the farm and they worked out the details with me for 3 whole weeks, including a ride from town with the delivery guy. I made all of my travel arrangements, bought a few things I thought I would need while there, and was ready to go. They knew this was a dream come true for me and I was anxious to learn about farming/agriculture and eat straight from the earth. The very last week before I headed out, they cancelled on me with no real honest explanation. Supposedly they decided to hire people with experience, even though I simply was coming to volunteer. Nick couldn't even get his story straight and tried to change up what we had agreed upon, even though I have all the emails of proof. I think they really just got spooked over a few of my google reviews. If you are an honest company and good people as you claim, there would have been no worries. They did talk down about their past WWOOF experiences and said they don't like young people coming anymore. I am older and they were so excited. Obviously y'all have something to hide or you wouldn't have cancelled me over fear of a bad review. I ended up visiting Maui anyway and had the best time! So glad this didn't work out!! I just didn't get why they had such a hard time just being mature and honest, instead of shady and lying. Not...

Ono Organic Farms was an amazing experience! Nick is an incredible tour guide and is clearly passionate about the fruits and the farm. We were able to taste so many delicious exotic fruits, learn about them, as well as bring back a load of them to our hotel to enjoy for the rest of the week. Definitely recommend it to everyone!! Apple bananas, ice cream bananas, papaya, avocado, pomello, passion fruit, jackfruit, lime, lemon, coconut, fresh cacao bean (which was unexpectedly sweet and delicious), bilimbi, starfruit, peanut butter fruit, soursop, tangello, mountain apple, exotic cherries and mango were among the many fruits we had! The fruits are not all always in season, so the fruits you get vary according to the time of the year you go. A couple of the fruits are rare finds, as they are not commercially available. Make sure you don’t eat much before visiting, you will definitely want to have room for all those fruits!! :-) The owners are such nice people. Thank you Nick for this...
