Point Robinson Park — Attraction in Maury Island

Took a day trip to Vashon Island to see “Oscar” The Bird King and I absolutely loved it. The ferry ride was short but was still a lot of fun. It’s about a 6 mile drive to the ferry to the park. There are tons of farms and other places that have little booths along the way, they offer a variety of homemade items for sale such as jams, syrups, flowers and even popsicles. The park was well kept and there was ample parking. There were many different trails for various area in the park, as well as numerous picnic tables in different areas. There no restrooms but they did offer Porta potty’s. We went to see Oscar The Bird King which is a troll that is constructed in the park for a limited time by artist Thomas Dambo. This amazing troll is one of six here in the Pacific Northwest and is made of nothing but recycled materials. Seeing Oscar is free, however if you don’t live on Vashon Island you do have to pay for the ferry ride. Overall I loved this day trip and recommend it to everyone!! This is such a cool spot with the beach, lighthouse, Mt Rainier views, Crain watching, seal watching, and you can even stay in the guest quarter's. There is an animal scavenger hunt right now, so check that out and have fun finding all the animal signs. Oh and I suppose you could also check out...

This was a nice park on Vashon Island. We were there for the Troll King and the lighthouse.

There are nice trails at the park but we mainly only took the short one from the parking lot to the lighthouse with a stop at the Troll King for pictures.
