Yes, the library is clean and the staff very accommodating....however I preferred the old Mayfield library so much more. I like the two floors and the much larger collections of books....many of which were consolidated or eliminated from the new library. The second floor was accessible even for handicappers like myself, because of the elevator. The reason for only 3 stars, is not about the library, but the parking lot. I've never seen a lot that is more accessible to compact cars, rather than handicapped spots. Why this was done, I cannot fathom. Where there should be handicapped spots only, the spaces were given to small cars and that is totally wrong. There are ample spots for compact cars further back in the lot. Whomever did the planning, clearly felt that compact cars were just as much in the need as handicappers. There are only 6 spots for handicapped. The rest of all the front row spots are reserved for those few who still drive very small cars. So, until the parking becomes more accessible for the myriad of handicapped people....three stars is all that I can give it. Poor, poor, planning for the growing number of seniors and those of us with other serious problems that need a spot closer to the...
Read moreA HUGE THANK YOU to both Mike & Jade who were phenomenal in printing these 3-D models!!! It was my first time ever printing 3-D objects at the library and they were so kind, patient and helpful.
These mathematical models represent concepts we find in precalc & calc. The two models show that through integration, area can turn into a volume of solids. The solids are formed by cross sections that are geometric shapes. The conical model can be used to show how various conics are formed when a cone is intersected by a two dimensional plane.
Thank you Mayfield Public Library for...
Read moreBeing only a few years old, this location is great. Lots of space. A kids area. A beverage area. A couple of meeting rooms. Great DVD/Blu-ray selection and of course books. Use their online service for easy self checkout of anything you reserve. Plenty of parking. And now that there is a traffic light at the entrance, very easy to get out of. June 2022 update... First time in for a long while. COVID sheen shutdow and all. Don't really use the services much anymore, but still a place to get a book when you just want to read vs. buying it. Still love...
