Elliott Duncan Park — Attraction in Mayodan

Just moved to this town about a week ago first impression on the park it is very nice lots of space for my 2 year old to roam around but as i was following him around the play area something caught my attention that wasn’t very pleasant and I never took the town to be a place like this and honestly think it could be some young kids doing this but as a person of color with kids of color someone needs to remove this and speaking for my family and others of color I have seen playing...

Really nice. quiet. Nice play area. We were out of town meeting family to spend the day and needed somewhere to go. We chose this park and it was really nice. Very clean bathrooms. The park was clean. Has a gazebo for relaxing or taking pictures. My nephew took his engagement pictures there. Grandchildren had a really fun time. My family and I enjoyed just relaxing and talking. Just stopped to sit at a picnic table with my dog. People were walking around the paved circle. Beautifully landscaped with a bit of shade from trees. My dog loved to just lay down on the sweet grass. I remembered how it was as a kid. Laying in the grass, watching the clouds, singing. Honestly, if I could lay down on the grass I would.
