You dont want to go here. It's stunningly beautiful, even in a cloudy day, and largely devoid of people -which gives it a secluded feel.
First, a few notes about parking. There isn't a lot of it available for day use, but the few times I've been there it's never been full. There's also a ring of campsites (some RV accessible) and two cabins that are reserved. They say you can rent them, but it's just not true. They're booked solid.
The trail wanders along a canyon over a 100+ foot elevation change. It's fairly well-maintained, except for the last 20 feet where you're on your own. It is not appropriate for strollers or wheelchairs. Small kids can make it with a little patience, and it's theoretically possible with a cane (I made it) if the person is otherwise in good shape.

I felt so grossed out walking around barefoot there and my feet kept getting stabbed by stuff. When I go back I'm going to get water shoes for that beach. There are millions of pretty stones there. Most are small but they're still lovely. I bet after a storm or early in the morning is a good time to go. Super beautiful there and the drive there on Highway 1 is...
