A manor and a carriage house under restoration? no sign indicating, adjacent to Oak Grove Cemetery for an interesting walk. Via the neighboring Cemetery, a few parking spots available across the boardwalk to Brooks Pond.

A sign on the door says caretakers live here, but you could have fooled me. It’s. Pretty house, but does not look maintained. I’m glad whoever owns this area lets people wander, as the trails and ponds are lovely!!!

Great relatively flat trails surround the estate, with a few sharp climbs at the end. Be as quiet as possible as birders (and owls) frequent the unpopulated (by humans) spaces.

The house is architecturally interesting but as of fall 2020 it's undergoing renovations. Will be nice to see the place when it's all refreshed! There's also a small hiking area (small in terms of total area, but there are more little trails to explore then it might seem at first). There's nothing too spectacular on the trails. Overall a nice place for a walk if you're in the area or a quick stop if you're seeing other things, but probably not worth going out of your way for. To access the small parking area, you need to drive through the cemetery (be aware that the smaller entrance on Grove St. is closed on weekends). Otherwise you can park on a side street off Grove St. and walk through the...

This is a nice place to walk in the woods or mountain-bike. It's a prototype neglected estate. A 140 year old architectural jumble of a Queen Anne house with third-story shutters damaged and akimbo, moldering carriage house, and well kempt lawn. The woods is a third-growth jumble, and in the summer the paths must be delightful tunnels through the boughs. Maybe somebody with ten million b they didn't know what to do with would restore the house and carriage house to respectability. It's a great visit if you're in the neighborhood and need a walk. It's clearly not a "tourist...

Secluded estate with 19th century charm, the pond was dug out by hand and was part of the property. You can walk through from West Medford and get out on the Winchester side, there are lots of secondary paths in the nature and it makes for a nice little hike...
