Wine - Mostly dry wines on the list, with some sweet wines mixed in. The sweet wines are not as sweet as you expect, with a crisp finish. They also have a very sweet mead. Bar - Very quaint and relaxing. It feels like home with warm decor, blankets to grab when the wind is chilly, and two friendly dogs walking around. There are many different types of seats to accommodate many different groups of people, with comfortable couches, lawn chairs, and a tree house platform to overlook the vineyard. Vineyard - The vineyard next to the bar is young, but it is nearby to take photos. To get to the bar, you have to drive a winding road through the vineyard. Handicap accessible - The main bar is handy cap assessable with the only stairs to the treehouse platform/ bar. Pets - Pets are allowed at the location outside and on a leash Bathrooms - Bathrooms continue the warm farmhouse decor and also have hand lotion inside as an extra little touch. Other - There is live entertainment on Fridays (4 -7) and Saturdays (2-6). The outside decor is very classic looking with a wide variety of flowers

This is a great spot to sample local wines. It's a comfortable atmosphere, very open to outside seating, lots of room, lots of light, friendly owners and staff plus an affectionate dog. This was actually our first stop on a local tour and if we didn't have other places to go we'd have stayed a lot longer. You drive in through some of their vineyards which are young. The grape varieties are specially selected for their hardiness in the tough winters here and still consistently produce a crop. These cold climate varieties have different names than the wines we're used to but they're related to mainstays like chardonnay and pinot noir. Their Itasca is superb. The wine reminds you of a white burgundy on the nose with delicious fruit flavors. They also have a red blend that's one of the best Northern Michigan reds we've ever had. They're serious about making quality wines and providing a top-drawer customer experience with attention to detail in their hospitality. Chances are you'll take some of these wines home. We'll be back here every...

If you are only choosing ONE Vinyard to experience in the area, this is it. If you're checking out several, come here last so you can truly appreciate how amazing it is in comparison.

It is truly the perfect vibe. Casual, contemporary, knowledgeable, friendly, and best of all they are VERY welcoming of dogs (unlike others who find their pigs of greater importance than their guests).

In the end, after visiting three area vineyards, as far as I'm concerned, this is the ONLY one we'll visit moving forward.

If there were anything I wish could improve, it would be to have a more substantial food menu and later hours.

Nevertheless, my fiance and I look forward to many days to hangout together and with visitors to the area.

Thanks so much for having us!

If you found this review helpful, please give it a šŸ‘.

  • UPDATE: 2022.07.22 *

After living here for over a year now, this is still the only winery we take friends and family who visit. The vibe has continued to improve with outdoor music and a couple...
