This seemed like it was going to be a nice park. I could tell it was fairly new. I have small children. The first time I came, I left sooner than anticipated. Parents brought their kids to the playground, but they stayed in the car. These were older kids who were cussing openly and not being physically mindful of where the small kids were. The second time I came, I was there for maybe 5 mins before deciding to leave. A man was standing beside the bench near the swings, talking to a lady sitting down with her baby, smoking a cigar/ black & mild that could be smelled at the swings. I also saw foul language written in big letters on the playground flooring. Lastly, there was a kid walking around with a big toy gun. It just wasn't the environment I want my kids to play in. Read moreWe entered the park at the Raleigh LeGrange trail head of the Wolf River Greenway. Fantastic trail, wonderful scenery, and to top it off the weather was perfect. Just two issues, we walked down to the bow lake and turned around, and didn't get one opportunity to clearly view the Wolf River. Our second issue was the very strong sceptic odor that greeted us behind the apartment complex backing the paved trail. The odor lingered until the first turn in the trail. It is an out and back hike so it's not fun retracing my steps. But the views of the Wolf River are nice. There is varied scenery, thick enough brush that you forget you're in the middle of Memphis, and a nice change in elevation to give your legs a quick workout.
