This is just a short trail that officially starts adjacent to Acacia Park Cemetery that leads to circular shrine consisting of 7 large rocks with different tribal names etched into them. There's also an unofficial trail that leads down to Sibley Memorial Highway. It has a beautiful view of Minneapolis in the distance. You can also see MSP International Airport from here. Highway 55/Highway 62 right below this site is visible and makes it unfortunately rather noisy with all of the traffic. Besides that, there's some prairie and trees to look at. It does feel like a somber place to reflect on the history that has occurred here and the significance that this place has within the indigenous community of this region, including its use as a burial ground. There's a very informative brochure at the start of the trail.

Read moreThis trail looked beautiful based on the photos and the reviews seem great, however I found this trail to be underwhelming. I decided to bring my dogs here for a walk to get away from the usual smells and scenery. I parked on the street and walked over to the entrance. The entrance shown in a picture (to the right, before the gate) is no longer there so I walked past the gate and headed straight. There's about 3 trails (2 semi beaten) and each one is short and ends to a point where your only option is to turn around. The 2 paths that aren't very beaten have over grown plants that smack you in the face and a lot of tiny burrs that I had to brush out of my dogs and pick off of me.
