What a beautiful to hike, the blue trial is well marked. The path is very easy to navigate, and when you reached the top, the views are spectacular. We didn't see any hiker around. I wish more people know about this place. The parking area we use off the road is not the best, but hike from there was awesome. The parking designated for the area is bigger enough to hold at least 10 cars. I highly recommend this place. 🌲Here is the official address: 1690 East Main Street, Middlefield Directions: I-91, take East Main Street/Wesleyan exit, which is Exit 16 going north or Exit 17 going south. Go East off exit onto East Main Street. Take ramp toward CT-66 E. Entrance right off the road on the right down a small incline.🌲 I hope you visit very soon.

I ended up parking near guidance and taking the Blue trail off to powder Ridge it's such a beautiful view once you get to the top that overlooks black pond. It is a bit Rocky so please wear proper shoes my dog does love this trail I've only done it once and I will definitely come back. On the way up you get to see a old stone fireplace which I thought was really cool. The trail does go along the edge of the mountain and on the way back there is a trail right next to it that is a little in the woods so you could basically make it a total loop trail.

I went here with my fiancée for lunch and to leisurely canoe and enjoy the beautiful day and wildlife. I’ve never seen such clear water before in CT. The pond is small but relaxing and quiet. We saw a lot of small fish in the water, turtles, swans, and two Cormorants.
