Mann Orchards Riverside Farm — Attraction in Methuen

Came here to buy some pumpkins with my 3 year old son. There was a nice play area for kids with a sandbox that my son wanted to play in so after we bought our pumpkins we walked over to the play area. The young girl working there stops us on our way and asks if we’ve paid. The sign displayed prices for pick your own apples. I told her we didn’t want to pick apples my son just wants to play on the playground. She proceeded to tell me i need to pay for admission, I asked how much for him to just play on the playground and she told me 28$. I was actually appalled. 28$ for my 3 year old to last probably 10 minutes on a playground? absolutely not. Mind you i just spent over 30$ on pumpkins. My son understandably started crying because what 3 year old with a playground in their face being told no we’re not going wouldn’t? They still didn’t care, seems like a money hungry, cold, rude place and needless to say I will never be back to any Manns location again.

Edit to the managers response: This response did not make sense at all or touch upon what my complaint was. My claims are not baseless, read the post and you will clearly see my case. Go to any other farm in the area and the amenities such as play areas and animals are free. This place is a lot of fun. My 9 year old daughter, my mother and myself had a great time. They have a hayride that runs frequently and a corn maze that we got lost in haha. But they do have someone in there to help If you need it. The Petting Zoo is nice also. They have a cow, alpaca, some goats, sheep and a donkey. You can feed them ice cream cones filled with treats that they sell there. The snack bar was pretty good. We recently visited Mann Orchard for apple picking, and it was a fantastic family experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, adding to our enjoyment. The apples were fresh and delicious, making for a delightful harvest.
