We visited Twin Bridges Area at Grand Lake State Park, and camped at the Echo Hollow Campgrounds while on our way out west. It was not far from Interstate 44. The campgrounds were small and sites were tight with fairly level paved pads a picnic table and fire ring. We witnessed an awesome migration of White Pelicans on the Spring River. The campground had a lot of road noise with a two lane highway separating the campground loops and not far from Highway 60. Would recommend the Gopher Valley loop across the street with a site further from the road and newer and better...

This is a well maintained park. We camped in Eagle Bluff and rented shelter #2 for a family reunion. They cleaned the shelter that morning which included removing old charcoal from the grill and knocking down cobwebs. There is a clean bathroom and a playground close by. We were very impressed. Park was perfect for those who like to fish. One teeny trail. Restrooms are ancient. Park is right next to highway with all the highway noise and people pulling in to use park restrooms. We stopped here so I could see all of the birds!! 😍😍 There was a huge flock of migration birds, and I just had to see them. It was my 1st time seeing a banana spider in the wild as well. The park area is beautiful, with mature trees and beautiful sights of the water.
