Michigan City Park — Attraction in Michigan City

Beautiful little city park in the friendly town of Michigan City, North Dakota. This is located on Hyw 2 about 100+ miles east of Minot. The camping fee is a "Good Will Offering", so feel free to spread the love and pitch in. The sites are simple with electrical hook ups. There is a flushing toilet with outside access at the club house, so even when that closes at night it is available. No showers and no water (that we saw at least). Play areas for children and a 9 hole golf course ($10 fee) are very close by. Pleasent campground with well maintained grounds. Great little campground for an overnight stay on my travels with a dog. Some sites have power available. Gentleman (and his dog) who were making their rounds emptying garbage cans in the morning was very pleasant to chat with for a bit. I would definitely recommend this small oasis for a good...

Great stop for a quick overnight. One issue kept this from being a five-star review. There are trash cans w/o lids in the four electric sites. Flies everywhere prevented us from really enjoying the nice setting. Otherwise, peaceful and far enough from US 2 to make traffic noise...
