It was such a beautiful morning that I couldn't pass it up and enjoy a nice long walk. It was my first time coming to Eastern Regional Park. The trail is a bit boring, it goes straight around the perimeter of the entire park. There's a very few benches to rest along the way which makes it rough on people who have orthostatic blood pressure changes like I do and need to sit quickly. Pet owners are supposed to clean up after their pets and to be honest I only saw one spot where someone didn't. Dogs were in their leashes and we'll controlled when I was there with my dog.
I met some really friendly people along the way (some dog walkers like myself and some joggers. One thing that I really liked is that you could go off course and take a nature hike like I did. It is a beautiful nature trail that skims the outside perimeter of the park. It was so calm and serene. My puppy and I spent over an hour walking and just enjoying the clean fresh air. I wish I could upload a video to show the trail and how peaceful it was. Loved it at 7am don't know how it is...
Read moreBeautiful setting and fairly well maintained, but lots of trash all around the grounds. Unfortunately regardless of how many times I have emailed Baltimore County encouraging them to be aware of the trash and do cleanups at least on a once daily basis it isn't done. It's a shame because it's a beautiful Park and lots of visitors from out of the state come and spend time there. The trash cans they provide have no lids and it's a somewhat open area so trash blows out all through the woods and the walk paths. It's a shame to have to see that. Really not a great example for the young kids who go there either. Many people I've seen including myself try to pick up some of the trash. However that should be part of County Park...
Read moreYellow jackets & wasps are a HUGE problem here. Kids & parents were being stung left and right today including my son, THREE times! Thousands, they just attack out of nowhere..
Understandably you must have trash cans along the fiends otherwise there would be littering, however there is no need for 6 trash cans along the turf field where the bleachers and players are, this is attracting even more.
They have a large nest on field 13 (it’s been there for months and it’s still currently there).Wouldn’t recommend this park if you’re allergic, or simply don’t feel like being attacked by yellow jackets or wasps.
Bees are everywhere, their part of nature but this park has a PROBLEM. The county is being contacted, along...
