I lived here for two years and loved it!!!
PROS: there are plenty of amenity spaces & they are clean and easy to reserve if you’d like. The rooftop, movie theatre, & co-working space are fantastic if you’re having guests over or you work from home. The walls are pretty thick so we almost never heard our neighbors (and never got complaints when we did have gatherings/played music). There are other reviews mentioning how the building is cheaply made but I would disagree - the cabinets/drawers are soft close and the appliances are standard stainless steel. The building was pretty well maintained and kept clean throughout. There are multiple elevators and we rarely had issues with them malfunctioning. The leasing team, especially Katherine and Elizabeth, was exceptionally friendly and responsive. Maintenance requests were promptly handled. It is a dog friendly community (with a dog park) & all residents were pleasant.
CONS: the biggest headache was the guest parking - there are simply not enough parking spaces for guests. The fees to reserve amenities are non-refundable. This wasn’t the case when I first moved in but the policy was later changed to make the reservation fee non-refundable and require event insurance. The amenities close at 11pm, however, this is pretty standard in similar type of apartment complexes.
Overall, I had a great experience living at The View and honestly don’t have any negative remarks. The community is fairly new, clean, and in a...
Read moreDon’t live here pretty much everyone who lives here can’t wait to run!! I’d give negative stars if I could!! Worst building complex I ever lived in! barely over a year old and falling apart leaks everywhere, central ac shuts down by it self. Electrical outages you name it! Management is a disaster the team consist of 3 people ran primarily by Katherine who is wildly unprofessional and very rude. She does not care at all. The amenities are always broken, movies theater hasn’t worked since April, things are closed often, especially on holidays!!! and the roof/ fire pits areas are still not complete and this was promised to be done on April 1st.
We are over charged/incorrect charges for water sewage!! From a third party company in florida! The bills have unexplained fees with no one to assist from the company or forte. Lease renewal are sent out a week before the end of your previous leave with 200+ rent raises for next lease. Lastly fees slapped left and right unfairly to who ever they feel like it. Also! Like the amenities? You have to pay insurance (100-200 an event) to reserve any amenity for you or your family this is in addition to the 250 deposit you have to gave and the insurance is separate you do not receive this money back. This is also on top of renters insurance as well as if that wasn't enough in the first place. Guest aren’t allowed in the pool and you can’t use the...
Read moreLived here for two years on the fifth floor and I had no major issues.
The Good: -The fifth floor was quiet, neighbours were friendly, and the dogs are adorable. -Apartments were spacious and modern. -Most people are respectful of the common spaces and the rooftop, gym, theatre and common areas were well kept. -There is a supermarket nearby, which is really convenient and a good pizza shop across the street. -Maintenance requests were responded to quickly.
The Not-So-Good: -Guest parking is VERY limited. For the number of apartments, they did not budget for renters to have visitors. -Signage for the building needs to be improved in order for delivery and rideshare drivers to better understand where to meet clients or drop off items. -The fees to reserve the theatre, rooftop areas, and private room space is non-refundable (it was previously refundable) and expensive. -Communication from property management can be without tact and be hot or cold depending on the topic. -The apartments facing the train tracks may hear a lot of train noise (neighbors also confirmed this). I lived on the side facing the courtyard, and only heard a train if they blared the horn so I would recommend the courtyard-facing apartments (but not close to the street) if the train noise...
