New Groove Alpacas — Attraction in Middletown

My wife always wanted to see Alpacas up close and this place provided the perfect opportunity. Arranged with the owner, Bonnie, to come on a week night for our tour. It was just my wife and I and Bonnie was a wealth of knowledge. She took us right into the pens to meet the males, then she took us for a meet and greet with the females.

Our tour ended in the small gift shop where we learned all about Alpaca sheering and the many uses for their fleece.

This was a fun and unique experience for littles and adults. It is a small place and you can choose to explore on your own or have a guided tour. They gave us some food and we went out on our own. You have to be a bit brave to feed them and they do spit when you upset them but it's a fun and funny experience. Bonnie was lovely and very attentive, even though we did the self-guided tour. I wanted to create a truly memorable engagement moment for my fiancé by hiring out some alpacas for a proposal event. Bonnie was amazing in helping me set up the event.
