Love it here! They have awesome tent camping spots. Decent facilities. Friendly people. The beach is combed. The water was very foamy this time around. I really wish that the campground would have a pool. The lake is great for kayaking. We have been paddling it for 15 years and still love it. My biggest complaint would have to be the amounts of poison ivy there. We had to constantly be on the lookout with our kids. They have a odd apt for frisbee golf. Most of the targets are where if you are not a good shot, you will end up in poison ivy or the water with your disc. I think that have one or two group camping sites would have been a better use of that land.

We had a great time! The lake was beautiful and there was a constant breeze. Our campsite was clean and roomy. We camped right on the lake. Perfect place if you’re looking for a primitive campsite. They have boats you can rent for the day and firewood for purchasing ($5/bundle) The only complaints I have are the bathrooms (very dirty), no showers, and there seems to be no regulation on noise. There were some VERY loud campers riding around screaming out of their car until 4am and people playing extremely loud music on boats passing by at almost 1am. We did not sleep at all on Friday night. Saturday night was a lot quieter.

Moved our houseboat here 2 years ago, best decision ever. The marina staff is awesome. The marina and park grounds are immaculate. And the lake is perfect for cruising day and night. And the people here are some of the best people we have ever met.

This lake is not for everybody there is a speed restriction on all boat motors. For most boats, the largest horsepower you can have is 9.9. this was originally three small lakes that were Dam controlled in the 1930s. the Army Corps of Engineers basically came in, flooded the land and cut all the trees off at the top of the water. Because of this, you have to worry about stumps if you're boating close to the shore or in certain areas along with very shallow Waters. Mainly fishing and camping are the biggest attractors to this lake. it's a sleepy little Lake with a nice Campground and average Marina with beautiful views. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to be bombarded with speed boats and Jet Skis. I may be a little biased because I grew up on this Lake. It's definitely not the cleanest water you cannot see all the way to the bottom and there is quite a bit of trash but it's got a...

Canada Goose feces EVERYWHERE you walk in the campground and the beach area. Can you say salmonella? YUCK! I wouldn't take a child anywhere near this park. Saw kids playing basketball on a feces covered court; feces on the ball, and then on their hands! Can't believe that neither the health department, Muskingum Watershed District , or the EPA hasn't shut the park down until the problem is addressed and cleaned up. The amount of goose feces and resulting bacteria ending up in the water has to be astronomical. Also, poison ivy all over the place. Run down restrooms and shower facilities. Disappointed and will never go back unless the filthy geese are gone and the facilities have...
