This is a popular spot for visitors and recreational hikers due to its proximity to the muir woods and SF. There are 2 ways you can do this trail. One 1️⃣ is what 99% of people do. Park at the muir beach overview or 1 mile up highway 1 and walk this little cute trail back and forth. Trail is easy and would work for young and old folks. This option requires some physical fitness and ability to navigate through a rocky shore by climbing boulders. Approximately 3/4 of the way on from the muir beach overview towards the ranch you will find narrow paths running towards the shore. Take them. You can find a bone graveyard, swings and beautiful shaded areas on the way to the shore. You may need to find your way through the vegetation as some paths that run towards the ocean are not used much. Once on the shore next to the ocean, start going back through the rocky beach using a tall tower rock 🪨 as your guide. Right next to it you can climb up and find you way onto the main path and return. It is worth it, children from about age 7 should be able to cope but would have to be watched and helped here and there. Great...
