Asbury Woods — Attraction in Millcreek Township

Loved it!! peaceful, quiet, and a great time. This is one of thoughs hidden gems you come across. If your from out of town and love to see more of the locals stuff then this is a good start!!! After your done at Asbury I recommend going to the Tom Rindge environmental center. Oh did I mention both are FREE!!!! Also if you enjoy the nostalgia of when life was just a simpler time and the days snd attractions from when your parents/grandparents were younger then Waldameer is another great stop!!! Think of your old state fair or local firemens fair its definitely a blast from the past! Lastly after you finish up a fun sun filled day at the various beaches on Presque Isle make sure you feed your hunger at Sara's !!!!!! Grab a char grill burger with fresh condiments and one of their Smith's hot dogs!! Their a nob to the way things used to taste before we started processing everything to hell an back. And dont forget their icecream....... seriously you will hate yourself if you miss this, even if you grab a shake made with real fruit its an absolute must! Add in the whole 50s theme vibe and originally its truly a must stop on your way past...

I haven’t been here since I was in grade school. Over 15 years ago. The trails are all marked clearly and easy to navigate. I love how you can self tour the property. You can stay on the boardwalks or venture off. The “tour of trees” was A Nice addition to the trails. Also the nature building was very clean and interactive. It was nice to see the different set ups there and the info they provided about each one. Lastly I love that is self guided at your own pace. It is an extraordinarily well maintained public park and green space, with engaging and robust programs and activities being offered. The facilities are modern yet appropriate to the natural surroundings. Numerous short trails originate from the nature center and variously interlink. There are also numerous nearby trails in the surrounding wooded areas. I have been a visitor to Asbury Woods since early childhood and I have watched numerous and remarkable changes and improvements to park and facilities.
