I was really disappointed with this place when I went today to swim. I’d been here before in the Fall to walk around after a hike, and it was lovely. When I biked over there to swim today, it was not lovely.

There was no bike parking, just one wooden bike rack that was literally falling apart.

There was a lot of litter. To DCR’s credit, park rangers were cleaning it up. But it was still off putting the amount of litter.

The swimming area was too small and very crowded. The lifeguards had roped off a very tiny section of the lake for swimming, which was never more than waist deep. The number of people swimming there was far too much for the small section.

I was really disappointed today, because I think this place could be fantastic. Allow swimming in the entire lake not just a small section, have more trash cans and empty them more often, and build some...

Our favorite place to be. You can grill in the picnic area. Swim area is roped off so kids really cant go too deep and lifeguards are on until 5 or 530p. There are showers, family restrooms, bathrooms, and plenty of trash cans. The restrooms close at 5 or 530p. Park rangers walk around and patrol as well as staties. You cant play music on a speaker, which honestly I get but it still kind of sucks. Other than that, great place to be. People are usually respectful and fine. If you swim past rope while the guards are there, they will let you know you're subject to fines. Ok to fish...

When I need to recharge or just really want to get away from everything City this is my ESCAPE. There are 3 different difficulty paths that can be taken which are easily marked. The swimming area is located right in front of the lifeguard station. The water the water is worth the visit alone it so clear you can look down and see tiny crabs, tadpoles and fish. Each path is so well taken care of a cleared even after huge storms. There is also fishing and a park to play at. Many many bbq areas with safety bins for hot coals disposal. Everything about this pond is uplifting and...
