I was really disappointed with this place when I went today to swim. I’d been here before in the Fall to walk around after a hike, and it was lovely. When I biked over there to swim today, it was not lovely.
There was no bike parking, just one wooden bike rack that was literally falling apart.
There was a lot of litter. To DCR’s credit, park rangers were cleaning it up. But it was still off putting the amount of litter.

Read moreOur favorite place to be. You can grill in the picnic area. Swim area is roped off so kids really cant go too deep and lifeguards are on until 5 or 530p. There are showers, family restrooms, bathrooms, and plenty of trash cans. The restrooms close at 5 or 530p. Park rangers walk around and patrol as well as staties. You cant play music on a speaker, which honestly I get but it still kind of sucks. Other than that, great place to be. People are usually respectful and fine. If you swim past rope while the guards are there, they will let you know you're subject to fines. Ok to fish...
